In short: we keep the work contact details of people who run websites, so that we can propose paid articles to them. We take them from places where they were published for that kind of contact, we never sell them, and you can have them removed at any time.

Which details we keep

Your name and work email address.
The website you own, edit or manage, and your role there if it is publicly stated.
Our emails with you, including any terms we agreed and invoices you sent.
Whatever you type into a form on this site.

We do not look for, or keep, information about your private life.

How we came to have them

Usually from the website itself: its contact page, an advertising or “write for us” page, an editorial masthead, or a public professional profile that lists the address for business enquiries. Otherwise, you gave them to us by replying to an email or using a form here.

The legal basis we rely on

Offering a site owner a paid placement is business-to-business contact, and we rely on our legitimate interest in making that offer, under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We keep that interest narrow: one relevant proposal, a clear way to say no, and no further contact once you have. If we agree a placement with you, the steps needed to carry it out and pay you rest on that agreement, under Article 6(1)(b).

Who handles the data for us

A small number of service providers process data on our instructions: the email service we send and receive mail through, the service that delivers the forms on this site, and our bookkeeping software. A client who commissioned an article is told where it was published, not who we spoke to. Where a provider is based outside the UAE or the EEA, we rely on the contractual safeguards it offers for such transfers. We do not sell, rent or swap contact data with anyone.

How long we keep it

If no placement comes of our contact, we delete your details within 12 months of our last email to you. If we do work together, we keep the records for as long as we work together and for five years after that, because tax and accounting rules require it.

The suppression list

When you opt out, your email address goes onto a suppression list that is shared across Redhead Digital Agency and checked before any outreach is sent. We keep that entry for good, because deleting it would make it possible for someone to contact you again by mistake. It holds the address and the date of the request, nothing more.

What you can ask of us

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, object to our use of it, or limit how we use it. To stop our emails, the opt-out form on the home page works immediately, and so does replying “unsubscribe” to any of our messages. Any other request can go to info@estuarydesk.com, and we respond within 3 business days. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Cookies and technical data

This site does not set cookies of its own and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. It is served through Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages, keep the site secure and produce anonymous visit counts.
